We're close to the edge here
And ordaining the sister

The flying ships with towering masts
Sail waves of clouds and stars
Circling around the earth
On the sound of brave guitars

We are not alone; we're in it
The captain cries, "Raise the sail!
The woodland fox is coming to dinner
With the crown and holy grail."

Send up a kite so we can see you
Hang white linen in the yard

Lakes shine like mirrors
And we have no combs
Just the recollection of old photographs

Tucked away in a trunk in the corner

It's half past four
And the sun is putting on its coat
And preparing to leave for the day

I am waiting to drop anchor.

Bellicose boys
And ginger peach girls
Hands full of ribbons
And lungs full of noise

I see the ships
Which sail the waves
Of your blue hair.
Your hand is not a kite
But the color of the sun.

You stand on the beach
Like an hourglass of sand
Whispering fragrant words
To a flock of onyx birds.
The future won't forget you

A rainbow of lines
